The Grand Opening Batam RC Speedway Track Championship was held on June 13th 2015. Batam city was located only 30 min by ferry from Singapore. Racers from Singapore, Batam Jakarta, Semarang, Kendari and Medan attended the event. The race divided into 2 classes Pro and Semi Pro had 3 rounds of 7 minutes with 2 best rounds to count. The finals were run from B final in each class with 5 drivers to bump up.

I didn't have enough time to come earlier to this race after my trip to FEMCA in Perth last week. I just flew to Batam early in the morning at the race day and have few minutes practice at this track. After 3 times qualifying, I got 2nd on overall position.

In the main final, I started from position no. 2 at starting grid but I got some traffic in the beginning of the race. I got my 1st position around 25 min of race and I maintained it until the end of race.
